Just Great Yellow Cake

JUST GREAT YELLOW CAKE

2/3 cup of butter
1 3/4 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3 cups of flour
2 1/2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of salt
1 1/4 cups of milk

Cream butter.  Add sugar gradually, creaming til light.  Add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy.  Sift dry ingredients together;  add to creamed mixture alternately with milk…beating after each addition.  Beat one minute.  Pour into greased 13x9 sheet pan.
bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.

Glaze in the pan while slightly warm.
1 cup of powdered sugar
1 T of melted butter
1/4 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
splash of half and half to consistency
grated orange and some of the juice.
