Coconut Brownies

This recipe came from my mother’s sister Judy. I had them when I was a little girl-- they must be made with margarine and golden brown sugar or the texture will not be right.

Melt over medium heat:
1/2 cup of margarine
2 cups of golden brown sugar

cool slightly and then add:

2 eggs
1 cup of flour
2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of vanilla
1 cup of coconut

Bake in a cake pan
325* for 25 minutes
